Good Garden Day

On Saturday, April 20th we got some work done at the Neighborhood Food Garden!

  • added compost to all the garden beds
  • built another garden bed
  • put pavers down beneath our new Jora Composter - it's now in service...composting our food scraps. We're making our own rich compost on site now. hooray!

Also, the church is getting some work done on the existing landscape! They are having the invasive weeds removed by hand, and then will sheet-mulch the rest of the garden beds. We are crossing our fingers that we'll be the recipient of some of Xerces Pollinator Kits (we'll know by the end of May.) If so, look forward to some wonderful Naturescaping happening on the church property and within the neighborhood garden!
